Before You Start: Register Your Account

The first step is to access your Carta account or create a new one. You can do it in seconds using your Google account or by registering with any other email.

Once inside, let's start setting up your establishment!

Step 1: Your Business Information

This is where you make your first impression.

  • Business Name: Enter your restaurant's name. This is the only data that won't be automatically translated, to preserve your brand's authenticity.
  • Description: Add a brief description for your customers. You can explain the origin of the name, your restaurant's history, its mission or values. You can also describe the atmosphere of the venue.

Pro Tip: Don't worry about the language! We recommend writing in your main language. Later, you can use our AI translation tool to have your description and complete menu in 10 languages with a single click.

Step 2: Regional Settings

This step is quick.

  • Currency and Time Zone: Define your local currency and time zone. To speed up the process, we'll give you recommended values based on your location.

Step 3: Location

Enter your restaurant's address. This information will appear on your main page so your customers can easily find you or see your location on the map.

Step 4: Review the Details

Almost ready! This stage is important.

  • Review your information: Take a second to confirm that the name, description, and address are correct.
  • See an error? Don't worry. You can always go back (by clicking your browser's back arrow) or edit these details later from your dashboard.
